Rusty House
Named Rusty House after its reddish-brown exterior, features a striking side extension to the modest end-of-terrace house, creating a new landmark on the corner of Peckham's Bellenden Road in South London. The weathered steel cladding was pre-treated to accelerate the development of its rusty patina, harmoniously blending in with both the brick in the existing structure and the conservation area within it resides in. We love how this thoughtful addition not only respects the architectural heritage of the neighbourhood but also enriches its character in a bold yet sensitive way.

Carraig Ridge House
Saunders Architecture has created a  striking Y-shaped home clad in corten steel, located in the design forward community of Carraig Ridge, near Calgary, Alberta. The structures steel exterior developes protective patina of rust on its surface, giving the building an earthy, organic quality. This exterior contrasts beautifully with the serene interior palette of white walls, light toned wood ceiling and floors, and black metal frames holding the floor to ceiling glazing. The result is a sophisticated blend of raw materiality and refined minimalism
— where architecture meets the natural world in a quietly dramatic way.

Dan Climan
Depicting everyday scenes with an underlying uncanniness, Dan Climan is an Emily Carr graduate located in Vancouver, who explores the tension between the familiar and the unknown. Drawing inspiration from mid-century cinema, photography, and advertising, Climan's paintings evoke the era's non-digital simplicity with flat, clean-edge forms and wide-open compositions. The sparse canvases are populated with common objects and nostalgic figures, inviting viewers into a world that feels both distant and eerily recognizable — like a memory you can't quite place.

Lara Messina
A self-taught abstract expressionist, Lara Messina creates work that exists in a constant dialogue between emotion, memory, and form. Using mixed media, she builds compositions through layers of texture, colours, and lines, resulting in a piece that feel spontaneous and deeply considered. Each visual is a personal narrative transformed into abstract landscapes, inviting viewers to engage with their own interpretations and emotional responses. Messina's works are not only visually compelling — they also offer a powerful way to elevate and personalize minimalist, white-walled interiors.
