Norwegian Day Trip Cabins
These cabins are a collaboration between all the municipalities in the Agder region to encourage people to spend more time outside. They are free to use, open all day year around, and are a design by Feste architects. There are 25 identical cabins, one in each municipality and the day trip cabins are to be a social meeting place with a focus on nature experiences. They contain a roofed entrance area with storage. The main room is focused around the fireplace and the view with a sitting area and benches that provide space for around 15 people. A small mini-library is integrated into a function wall around the fireplace. Outside, along one outer wall, a roof-covered bench has been established as a screen from the weather. A single solar panel on the roof enables easy lighting and charging of mobile phones. Feste have emphasized using sustainable and durable materials in their design as the cabins will be placed in challenging environments. It's a brilliant initiative funded through the municipalities, Agder county council and Sparebank SR bank with the hope to attract more hikers to the area. It's common in both Norway and Sweden with remote huts open to the public for shelter and daytime use, as well as once that you can stay in over night when hiking. These are however next level and who wouldn't want to visit one of these on their next venture out in nature?!

Interior Design Trends 2025
What's trending in the interior design world of 2025? We try not to look at these as trends as one should be able to enjoy their home year after year without feeling that you have to make changes. So, rather than pointing out specific styles or products we look at over-all encompassing trends with room for your individual style, which also happens to be one of the "trends" for 2025. More and more we see personalized homes where your unique style gets to flourish and we're expecting this to grow even more in 2025. This year we're also expecting our clients to strive to create spaces within their homes where they can recharge. They're looking to craft homes with room for wellness, relaxation and comfort. Another important trend, which has been on the horizon for a year or two already, is to bring nature in with earth tones, clay, woods and natural fibres. Brown was a well used colour last year and we're expecting that will continue within 2025. We're also seeing a continuous focus on, and interest in, how and where products are made. We as consumers want to make sustainable and long-lasting decisions which tie well in with all of the above trends. Finally, it's expected that 2025 will be the year of artful lighting. Lighting is so much more than just a practical element, and choosing an artful light fixture that represents your individual style can help tie the space together.
