Patkau Studio
A molded leather seat forms a supple saddle suspended within a limber stainless-steel frame. The Joey Stool is available in leather of various colours, made to order at Patkau's Design Lab in Vancouver.
Joey is a light-weight stool designed for contemporary spaces. It is composed of a formed leather shell and a tubular stainless-steel frame consisting of two closed profiles that meet at the back and branch to a Y. The Y shape acts as a spring, dampening impact and improving the comfort of the shell by providing it greater flexibility.
The leather shell provides ergonomic benefits over plastic or fiberglass shells. It has a natural softness and give, becoming more comfortable over time with use. Custom leather dye and finishes available.
