The 70/70 Outdoor Table is designed with a simple expression, paired with subtle, understated details that reveal themselves upon closer inspection. Available with FSC-certified Sapele Mahogany, a durable hardwood resistant to the wear and tear of being outdoors. With time, the wood will lose some of its reddish glow, giving way to a grey-tone patina. Treat with wood oil to enhance some of the natural red of the wood.
Material
Tabletop in FSC™-certified (FSC-C028824) Sapele Mahogany, a durable hardwood suitable for outdoor use. Initially, the Sapele Mahogany tabletop will have a warm glow. If left as is, untreated, the wood will patinate over time and turn a silver shade of grey. Treat the wood with oil for a deeper warm glow and a more reddish expression. Sapele Mahogany is a natural material where colour and wood grain variation can occur from one piece of wood to another. Over time, small cracks at the tip of the wooden planks can occur due to the impact of weather. Furthermore, the wooden planks can, over time, warp a little resulting in a slight height difference between the wooden planks. When exposed to direct sunlight please note that objects placed on the table for a longer period of time can lead to colour differences in the tabletop, this will however even itself out over time if the object is removed. The base is made from aluminum with a weather-resistant, UV-resistant powder coated finish suitable for outdoor use. Plastic glides for outdoor use.
Cleaning Instructions
When cared for properly, the 70/70 Outdoor Table is designed to last. Follow these simple rules to care for your design in the best possible way. To protect the 70/70 Outdoor Table from weather's harm when not in use, a cover can be purchased separately. Please make sure that both the table and the inside of the cover is completely dry before putting the cover on. Sapele Mahogany: Clean the table with a damp cloth following the grain of the wood. If necessary, use a mild detergent or dish-washing liquid, not concentrated. Always wipe with a clean damp cloth and then a dry cloth afterwards. To minimize the risk of stains and marks, liquid, grease etc. should be removed straight away. It is recommended to clean the tabletop 1-2 times a year using an outdoor wood cleaning product to remove algae and dirt. Please follow the instructions on the wood cleaning product. If untreated the tabletop will patinate over time and eventually turn a silver shade of grey. This patinated look does not affect the durability or quality of your table. If you wish to preserve or intensify the original Sapele Mahogany colour, we recommend using a clear tabletop oil for outdoor use on a regular basis. Muuto recommends that you contact your local hardware store to get advice on tabletop oils for outdoor use. Base: Clean with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a little dish soap on the cloth. Always wipe with a clean damp cloth and then a dry cloth afterwards. Lacquered surfaces can be scratched and chipped if hit with hard objects. In case of minor scratches in the lacquer, Muuto recommends that you contact your local hardware store to get advice on which outdoor paint product is recommended to cover the minor scratches
