Louis Poulsen
The designer and architect Verner Panton (1926-1998) created Panthella in collaboration with Louis Poulsen in 1971. Panton’s figurative and playful design radiates his larger-than-life personality. Without compromising on quality or functionality, the world-renowned Dane continued to develop new materials for the colorful and captivating spaces that he created from his appealing designs. Panthella stands out as one of Panton’s most significant design icons with its organic shape that mirrors the softest of light. With Panthella, Panton intended to create a light where both the stand and the shade served as a reflector, combining it with the organic shapes for which the Danish designer is known. With its non-glaring light, Panthella serves as a beautiful example of Verner Panton’s brilliant ability to create atmospheric illumination.
As a special feature, Panthella 250 Portable V3 is fitted with a functionality (hardware/software technique) that protects the battery during use with USB power applied. This means the lamp can be turned on with the cable in without harming the battery.
Note: For all other portable lamps, it is NOT recommended to leave the cable in when using the lamp, it will harm the battery over time.
The cable USB-C to USB-C is the same 90 degree angled plug as the cable for VL 45 Radiohus Portable. The cable for Panthella 250 Portable is only longer 1,5 --> 2,5 meter.
