May Mood '26

Fresh colour, tactile design, playful textures, and thoughtful details made for gathering, gifting, and celebration. This month, we’re leaning into pieces that bring warmth, personality, and a little sense of fun to everyday spaces. From sculptural lighting to statement-making accents, May is all about creating moments that feel lived in, layered, and effortlessly inviting.

Clinton Hill
This month, we’re embracing a softer, more grounded take on modern living. Where texture leads and simplicity feels intentional. Inspired by the Clinton Hill Townhouse by YUN Architecture, the space layers warm, reclaimed wood against smooth plaster walls and clean architectural lines, creating a quiet yet deeply tactile backdrop. The palette stays rooted in earthy neutrals. Think honeyed ash, creamy whites, and subtle, worn-in finishes, bringing a sense of calm and cohesion throughout. The overall vibe is effortless and refined: historic character gently stripped back and reimagined with contemporary materials for a home that feels both airy and warmly lived-in.

Palet
Palet is a design studio redefining ceramic tile as a creative, highly customizable material rather than a purely functional surface. Their work blends digital precision with traditional glazing techniques to produce tiles that feel painterly, layered, and subtly abstract. Instead of rigid patterning, they explore softness and variation. Muted gradients, diffused motifs, and tonal shifts that bring depth and movement to a space. The result is a collection that feels intentionally imperfect, celebrating texture, colour, and nuance while giving designers the freedom to build highly personal, site-specific palettes.

Gone
Rooted in a hands-on, process-driven approach, this Chinatown-based design studio explores colour, material, and form with a sense of play and curiosity. Working across textiles, glassware, apparel, and objects, they embrace small-batch making where experimentation is part of the outcome. Hand-dyed fabrics shift in unexpected ways, glass feels softly imperfect and full of character, and every piece carries the trace of its making. The result is a joyful, tactile body of work that feels offbeat, expressive, and refreshingly unpolished in all the right ways.
