This August, we're celebrating the beauty of thoughtful design and seasonal living. From a beautifully restored Danish home to bold new work from Scandinavian and Dutch designers, this issue is packed with inspiration for your space. We're also bringing you fresh seasonal recipes worth savouring, a fun DIY to make with flowers straight from the garden, and can't-miss ways to get out and celebrate the culture and community in Winnipeg this month.
The Ahm House
Coppin Dockray was brought in to restore and revive the interiors of the Ahm House. The team selected each aspect to keep with the home's Danish roots with materials that includes Aylesbury buff brick set against board-marked concrete, irregular timber mullions and glazing, and Swedish Höganäs floor tiles. The Louis Poulsen VL45 Radiohus Pendant and PH 5 Pendants were deliberately selected as they provided essential illumination and left breathing room for other interior elements.

Gustaf Westman
Gustaf Westman is an architect turned product designer, establishing a studio in 2020. Based in Stockholm, the studio extends their work to furniture, ceramics, glassware, and custom design pieces. Westman gained popularity by creating playful, chunky pieces while prioritizes sustainability and local community collaboration.

Floris Wubben
Based in the Netherlands, Studio Floris Wubben explores the world of experimental ceramics. The studio creates with consideration both to functional products and sculptural design using bold gestures and raw materials. To push the boundaries, the team custom builds machines to achieve their unique pieces.
